Havoc is a raiding guild dedicated to pushing end-game progression, without pushing the typical 4-5 day, 4-5 hours per raid, per week to be "#1 on the server". Our goal is the guild’s progression through 25-man content at a pace that works for us, not realm-firsts at the cost of our real lives and sanity. More important than our progression, Havoc is about a spirit and attitude that keeps the game fun, enjoyable, and still practical for those of us that care to experience real life every once in a while. Constantly striving to maintain our high standards will allow us to:
1) be a tight-knit group of people who enjoy being around and raiding with one another. Guild chat and vent should be open, fun and entertaining. Our cohesion and respect for one another are the most important attributes to our success;
2) constantly challenge ourselves to be skilled players in our raiding. We constantly attempt increasingly more challenging encounter and rely on our tactics, intelligence, and performance to succeed. Because of this, we expect a lot out of our guild. Our members must be at the top of their game at all times in order to accomplish all of these difficult encounters on a 2-day schedule. Knowledge and improvement of one's class is of the utmost importance;
3) sacrifice for one another and for the sake of the guild. We expect our members to put the guild before themselves in most cases, and to uphold the good name of Havoc in public arenas.
Raid Schedule
Havoc operates within a condensed raid schedule. Running only two days a week (plus coordinated 10-mans on Tuesdays), it is extremely important we make the most of the time we have. As a general rule of thumb, we will not recruit any raid applicants that cannot adhere 100% to our raid schedule below:
Wednesday, Sunday
8:00 PM - 12:00 AM EST
Invites: 7:30 PM
Optional 10-man runs are put together on Tuesday's at 8:30 EST, with the intention of splitting up two equally-capable groups to clear 10-man content.
Our Loot System
Havoc utilizes a DKP Bidding System to award all 25-man loot. All players actively in raid (or standing by in Group 6 to come in) are awarded the following:
10 DKP - Sign-Up Bonus
10 DKP - On-Time Bonus Note: On Time means in the instance, buffed, repaired, and ready to go at 7:55.
20 DKP - Each Hour (x4)
...For a total of 100 DKP per night.
All members that have more than zero DKP (whether they attended that night or not) on WebDKP are decayed 20% of their total at the end of each raid to accomplish two goals:
1) to prevent anyone from hoarding an absurd amount of DKP over the long term. All DKP totals will hover around 450-550, since the more you have, the more you lose on a decay. This effectively promotes everyone using their DKP frequently to reduce the size of their decay each night.
2) to penalize poor attendance; anyone not in raid will lose 20% of their total without gaining the 80-100 for that night, resulting in a net loss. This is our way of docking DKP for absences without having to babysit the DKP list.
All bids will be subject to the following limitations:
1. Off-Spec bids have a maximum of 50. Main-Spec bids are expected to be higher, or it will go to the offspec. The only exception may be for gearing up our MTs.
2. Bidding into negative DKP is not allowed, the exception being MTs may bid up to 75 regardless of going negative. Tanks in the negative will not be allowed to bid on anything other than necessary MT gear until the "loan" is paid off.
3. Fluffers/Recruits will earn full DKP during their 2-week trial period with Havoc. They may only bid 2 DKP on any loot, which is awarded only if the item would otherwise be disenchanted. At the end of their 2 weeks, they will be able to use all of their earned DKP just as any other Havoc Raider.
4. BoE drops will be available for bidding on by all current raid members, including those in Group 6. They are NOT to be bid on by mains to be used for alts. Unlike BoP gear, if they are not bid on, they will not be disenchanted, but will instead be placed in the Guild Bank under the control of the officers. They will typically be sold on the AH to fund the Guild Bank, or any raiders (or alts, or casuals) that want the item can propose to buy the item.
5. Non-raiders (that is, anyone in the raid that is not of Fluffer/Recruit rank, or Raider or above) are subject to off-spec bid limits. There is no limit to which pieces they can bid on, the number of pieces they can win, or to the total value of DKP that they can accumulate, but they can never bid more than the off-spec cap. Their bids will be given equal weight with all other bids.
All items are announced one at a time in raid warning by our auctioneer (generally Orcis). Our DKP mod functions by whispering any of the following to the auctioneer:
!dkp - whispers you back with your current DKP total
!bid 666 (for example) - places a bid if you have enough dkp to use for the active auction
!list paladin warlock (example) - lists everyone's dkp that is currently in the raid that fit the class requirements
There are no exceptions to our loot distribution in 25-mans. If you fail to place a bid using the correct command in the given 30 seconds, it will be assumed that you are not interested and given to the highest received bid.
Raiding Expectations
Pulls start promptly at 8:00 PM EST. This means all players should be buffed, properly geared/enchanted/gemmed/talented, and focused. Needing to hearth to grab some gear/consumables, or requesting a last minute summon are highly frowned upon and will be addressed if it's a consistent problem. Between pulls, un-notified AFKs, lagging behind the group without excuse, and being constantly asked for a certain buff will not be tolerated. We have 8-12 hour to progress on so much content, that to waste it on laziness is unacceptable.
On a similar note, we expect 110% performance from all of our raiders in any encounter. That includes numbers/output and, more importantly, successfully dealing with and understanding fight mechanics (standing in the fire, missile, laser barrage). It is not fair for anyone slacking off or underperforming to hold a raid spot over anyone in Group 6 that would love to take your spot and perform to their fullest. Damage meters will not be posted in raid chat, as it's distracting to raid performance. If you must know, ask a friend or download your own Recount addon. Respect in both raid chat and vent will be maintained at all times. Minimal vent chatter during encounters (especially new ones) is expected from everyone. Please take all drama and arguments to whispers or involve an officer privately if necessary. While we're trying to take things seriously, we all clearly want raiding to be fun and enjoyable, without anything getting in the way.
If you are subbed out and placed in Group 6 temporarily, you do not have to be on your main. You are, however, expected to keep your role officer informed, your main in the raid group, and remain on vent if it's necessary to call you back in.
Attendance
All members at or above the rank of Raider (and Fluffers/Recruits) are expected ~90%+ attendance, ignoring any unexpected real-life circumstances. We run a small core raid group, and high attendance is necessary to keep things running smoothly. If you fall below 80-90% attendance, your raid spot may go up for recruitment with an FnF demotion. If you suspect you will be absent for any specific raids, you are expected to post in the Leave of Absence forum so we know not to expect you. Failure to notify regarding an absence is not a very promising start to any recruit's raiding career.
Raiders are automatically penalized for poor attendance through our decaying DKP system, but repeated absences will be addressed quickly on a case-by-base basis.
Consumables
All players will be expected to have all consumables and be properly buffed at all points of the raid. This includes flask/elixir, food, relevant potions, etc. While Fish Feasts are provided, all players should carry at least one stack of their own specialty food. Raiders are encouraged to farm/buy their own food as the AP/SP/Stam from a feast is not generally the best stat buff for most classes. If you are noticed consistently lacking these buffs ("It's just trash" or "I missed the feast" won't cut it), you will be penalized and more than likely replaced with someone that can handle these simple tasks.
Forum Guidelines
We value the input and teamwork involved with our forums highly, and would love to see a significantly larger portion of our raiders (and FnF) active in theorycrafting/planning raid encounters outside of raid. You are expected to treat all others with respect on our forums at all times. Our raiders are asked to participate heavily in all raid-related discussions, and ideally visit the forums at least once a day to stay updated on any current events.
You Represent Havoc
Havoc prides itself in remaining a highly ranked and respected raiding guild on Khadgar. Agreeing to wear the tag means that you represent Havoc in pugs, trade chat, realm forums, and anywhere else your travels through the World of Warcraft take you. We highly value the reputation of our name, and will not tolerate any behavior that tarnishes our image.
